About

Who is Dan Snyder?
I hail from the great state of Colorado and have spent most of my life here. After going to the University of Northern Colorado (B.A. Criminal Justice), I was a cop in the Denver-area. I spent the first five-ish years of my "adult life" doing police work: patrol, SWAT, undercover narcotics. I really loved the job and have (mostly) fond memories of my time doing police work.

After becoming a Christian and leaving police work, I went on a mission trip called The World Race. On The Race, I traveled the world for eleven months doing work throughout Europe, the Middle East, East Africa, and Southeast Asia. It was an amazing experience and it truly changed my life.

After The Race, I started working at New Denver Church and graduated from Denver Seminary (M.A. Pastoral Counseling). I still work at NDC and am the pastor of missional communities and men's formation.

I met my wife Britt in 2012 at Denver Seminary. We started dating about a year later and ended up marrying each other in late 2013. She works at Colorado Christian University after graduating from Seminary (M.A. Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling).

In my free time I love to hang out with Britt, read, eat good food, watch sports, play sports, read some more, drink good coffee, and bring my nephew to Chick-Fil-A. Oh, and I enjoy reading…while watching sports.

What's The Point of This Blog?
Well, because I like to write. I'm not necessarily good at it, so there's probably grammatical errors, but I hope you'll kindly skip over them and enjoy the blog for what it is: my thoughts, my experiences, the stuff I'm learning, some fun stories, and what God's been teaching me.

My goal with this blog is that after reading it you'll join me in risking more, reflecting more, and living for something that outlives both of us.
